Statements to House of Commons Committees

The Auditor General and his officials often appear before committees of the House of Commons in order to answer questions about the Office and its reports.

They appear most frequently before the Standing Committee on Public Accounts, which has a specfic mandate to review and report on all of the Auditor General of Canada’s reports, as well as the Office’s Reports on Plans and Priorities and Annual Performance Reports. Other committees also hold hearings on matters raised in the reports.
