Ottawa, 11 May 2022—On Tuesday 31 May 2022, Karen Hogan, Auditor General of Canada, will deliver four performance audit reports and two special examination reports of Crown Corporations to the House of Commons. Tabling is expected at approximately 10:00 am (eastern daylight timeEDT). Descriptions of the reports are provided below.

The 2022 Reports of the Auditor General of Canada included in this release are:
Report 1—Access to Benefits for Hard‑to‑Reach Populations. This audit focused on whether the Canada Revenue Agency and Employment and Social Development Canada directly, or through leveraging other federal departments and other non‑federal government entities, ensured that hard‑to‑reach populations were made aware of the Canada Child Benefit, the Canada Workers Benefit, the Guaranteed Income Supplement, and the Canada Learning Bond, and that they were able to access these benefits.
Report 2—Processing Disability Benefits for Veterans. This audit focused on whether Veterans Affairs Canada was taking appropriate actions to reduce wait times for veterans applying to receive disability benefits that they are entitled to in order to support their well‑being.
Report 3—Follow-up on Gender‑Based Analysis Plus. This audit focused on whether the Privy Council Office, the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat, and Women and Gender Equality Canada advanced the implementation of gender‑based analysis plus (GBA Plus) in government, in response to selected recommendations from the 2015 Fall Reports of the Auditor General of Canada, Report 1—Implementing Gender‑Based Analysis.
Report 4—Systemic Barriers—Correctional Service Canada. This audit focused on whether Correctional Service Canada’s programs respond to the diversity of the offender population to support their safe and successful return to the community. This includes examining the department’s policies and practices to promote workplace equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Special Examinations of Crown Corporations. We will also be providing copies of our reports on the special examinations of the following Crown corporations: Farm Credit Canada; Federal Bridge Corporation Limited.
